Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (calf) is being assessed, while Gabriel Martinelli (shin) is a doubt.

Chelsea's Ben Chilwell (ankle) and Reece James (knee) are doubts for their next two matches. Hakim Ziyech (muscle) is ruled out.

Arsenal have won their last nine Premier League home matches on Boxing Day, including a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in 2001.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could become the first Arsenal player to score on three consecutive Boxing Day appearances since Thierry Henry between 2002 and 2004.

Chelsea have lost just two of their last 17 PL meetings with Arsenal (W9 D6), with both defeats coming at Emirates Stadium, in September 2016 and January 2019.

The Blues haven’t lost three consecutive PL away matches since February 2019, a run which included a defeat at Arsenal.
