Having been passed fit to face West Ham United, Jamie Vardy (£10.0m) can be among the top captaincy contenders for Gameweek 4 of Fantasy Premier League.

The Leicester City striker has recovered from a minor hip problem ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 BST deadline.

Vardy is the top-scoring player in FPL, totalling five goals and 32 points in the first three Gameweeks.

Vardy's second goal v Man City

He was a huge influence in home matches last season.

His total of 12 goals at King Power Stadium was eight more than any of his team-mates.

That gives further encouragement to Vardy backers ahead of a promising match against the Hammers.

West Ham struggled defensively on the road last season.

Away from home, their total of 53 big chances conceded was more than any other side.

Furthermore, their 195 shots in the box conceded was the third-highest figure allowed.

Explosive potential

Vardy's potential for explosive hauls has already brought in 13 and 17 points against West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City respectively over the first three Gameweeks.

Combined with the Hammers' weakness away from home, the Foxes forward can reward armband backers with another double-digit score on Sunday.

Don't forget the GW4 deadline is 11:00 BST on Saturday 3 October.
