Aston Villa have signed their fourth player of the summer transfer window, with forward Bertrand Traore arriving from Lyon.

Traore has made the move for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

The 25-year-old Burkina Faso international returns to the Premier League after scoring two goals in 10 appearances for Chelsea in 2015/16.

Villa's head coach Dean Smith told the club's official website: “We’re delighted that Bertrand has chosen to come to Villa. He’s a player with immense talent who will really enhance our attacking options.”

Traore joined Lyon ahead of the 2017/18 season and scored 21 goals in 88 Ligue 1 appearances, while helping them reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals last season.
