West Ham United are targeting an opening-day victory for the first time since a 2-0 win at Arsenal in 2015/16.

Newcastle United will aim for a repeat of last season's result when they won 3-2 at London Stadium.

Tomas Soucek returned from international duty and has been back in training with West Ham ahead of Saturday's opening match.

Jamaal Lascelles is available for Newcastle after serving a one-match ban in the friendly at Stoke City. Matt Ritchie and Ciaran Clark (both knocks) missed that match but have recovered while Jonjo Shelvey returned to training this week. 

Dwight Gayle is a long-term absentee following surgery on a knee injury.
