Watford beat Norwich City last time out, and another home win would take them six points clear of the relegation zone.

Newcastle United will aim to bounce back from their 5-0 defeat at Manchester City and claim a sixth away win of the season.

Team news

Watford report no fresh injury concerns. Gerard Deulofeu (cruciate ligament), Daryl Janmaat (knee) and Isaac Success (Achilles) remain unavailable.

Newcastle will assess Jamaal Lascelles, Miguel Almiron, Isaac Hayden and Allan Saint-Maximin ahead of Saturday's contest.

Did you know?

Watford are unbeaten in all five of their Premier League home matches against Newcastle, their best such record against a team in the competition.

Only Man City and Burnley have kept more home clean sheets than Watford's seven this season. Overall, the Hornets have recorded nine shutouts in the league this season, only keeping more in 2015/16, with 11.

Before lockdown, Newcastle’s 29 league encounters this season had seen just 2.3 goals per match, the third-lowest average in the division. Since the restart, their five contests have seen 3.8 goals scored on average.

Despite both players only featuring in 22 of Newcastle’s 34 league matches this season, Jonjo Shelvey (six goals, one assist) and Allan Saint-Maximin (three goals, four assists) have registered more goal involvements than any team-mates.
