As Fantasy Premier League Draft managers continue the march towards the end of the season, this week we focus on teams battling for European places.

If you're looking to make a move ahead of Saturday's 11:30 BST deadline, here are my recommended waiver wire priorities by position.

GKP: Emiliano Martinez (ARS)

Arsenal calmed the nerves of supporters and Draft managers with a relatively routine clean-sheet win at St Mary's Stadium. With a home date against bottom-of-the-table Norwich City, Martinez looks like a solid bet who is likely still available. If you fear another Arsenal collapse at the back then Martin Dubravka has a solid match-up against AFC Bournemouth.

DEF: Willy Boly (WOL)

The Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-backs are likely to be owned but one of their centre-backs could potentially be available for the match at Villa Park. This is a bet on clean-sheet points so Boly, along with Romain Saiss and Conor Coady, would make sense as a waiver wire pick.

MID: Phil Foden (MCI)

I'm going against my theme and pushing for a player who is likely to see more pitch time now that the pressure is officially off. Foden is auditioning for Manchester City to not spend big this summer to replace David Silva and, with the UEFA Champions League the presumed priority, the young midfielder could get a lot of minutes in FPL matches down the stretch.

FWD: Olivier Giroud (CHE)

As always, quality forwards are in short supply on waivers. I like what I've seen from Eddie Nketiah but Mikel Arteta has been rotating his centre-forward so it seems likely that Alexandre Lacazette will start against the Canaries. Given that uncertainty, we'll turn to former Gunner Giroud, who seems to have overtaken Tammy Abraham as Chelsea's lone striker for their meeting with West Ham United. The Frenchman has started each of the last five, producing points on four of those occasions.
