Ian Wright has urged people to observe United Kingdom Government guidelines this Easter weekend by staying at home and helping to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The former Arsenal striker sent a message to the tens of millions of fans worldwide who follow the Premier League on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, asking them to do the one thing in their power to help reduce the spread of the global pandemic.
"The enormity of what is going on in the world now is vitally important," Wright says. "The thing is, I know it's a challenge and a sacrifice.
"Being outside is something that comes naturally to all of us. But this is serious, our families and friends, they're dying - and all we've got to do is stay at home.
"So please this weekend, no socialising outdoors, no visiting friends and families. It's the one thing we can do to play our part.
"Staying at home is the only way we can beat the coronavirus."
