Jamie Vardy (£10.0m), the highest points-scorer in the game, is back from injury and expected to retain his status as the most popular choice for the armband ahead of Leicester City's home match against Southampton.
But in the latest episode of the FPL Show, Bonfield says Saints are a different prospect now to the side that suffered a record 9-0 home defeat by Leicester in October, when Vardy scored a hat-trick.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, have recently lost key players to injury, which Manchester City playmaker De Bruyne can exploit.
"It's not going to be 9-0," says Bonfield. "Only Liverpool have conceded fewer big chances than Saints [since that defeat] so I'm not going for Vardy.
"De Bruyne against that injury-ravaged Villa defence, every time I watch him play and he plays in that more advanced position, he gets in the goals and the assists, so I'll be going for him."
