Leicester City host a Southampton team against whom they achieved a record-breaking 9-0 win in the reverse fixture.

Saints will be aiming to avenge that defeat and head to King Power Stadium on a run of 10 points from their last four matches.

Team news

Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi is unavailable having undergone knee surgery, but fellow midfielder James Maddison (knock) looks set to feature after training on Friday.

Daniel Amartey is due to have an operation on an ankle problem, while Matty James (Achilles) continues to build up his match fitness.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has no fresh injury concerns. Full-back Yan Valery is the only Saints player not involved in full training as he recovers from illness.

Did you know?

The most goals a team have scored against an opponent in a single PL season is 12. Leicester need three goals in this match to equal the totals Blackburn managed against Nottingham Forest in 1995/96 and Spurs achieved against Wigan Athletic in 2009/10.

Since losing 9-0 to Leicester Southampton have conceded only 13 goals in 11 matches. During that period only Liverpool, with seven, and Leicester, with 11, have let in fewer.

Ayoze Perez has the chance to become the first player in history to score a hat-trick in three consecutive PL matches against the same opponent. The only player with as many as three trebles versus one team is Luis Suarez against Norwich.

Among players with at least five PL goals this season, the two players with the best shot-conversion rates are Leicester's Jamie Vardy, with 35 per cent, and Southampton's Danny Ings, with 27 per cent.
