Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Aaron Mooy scored their first goals for the club as Brighton & Hove Albion secured a 2-0 home win against AFC Bournemouth.

After just two minutes and 29 seconds, Neal Maupay laid the ball off for Jahanbakhsh to fire into the bottom-right corner and score Brighton's fastest ever Premier League goal.

Joshua King was denied by Mat Ryan at the other end in an open first half.

In the second half Dan Burn had a goal overturned after the VAR adjudged him to have been in an offside position in the build-up, while Yves Bissouma hit the post.

Brighton's pressure paid off in the 79th minute when Leandro Trossard exquisitely found the impressive Mooy, who turned in the area and steered a curling shot into the far corner.

Graham Potter's side move up to 14th place in the Premier League table with 23 points.

AFC Bournemouth lie two places and three points back.
