Two of the bottom three sides go head-to-head at Villa Park.

Aston Villa are aiming to halt a run of four successive defeats while Norwich City are seeking to avoid a fourth loss in five matches.

Team news

Aston Villa's John McGinn suffered a fractured ankle in the weekend defeat by Southampton and faces around three months out.

But Tyrone Mings and Keinan Davis (both hamstring) are expected to return to training on Boxing Day. Jed Steer (Achilles) remains a long-term absentee.

Norwich report no fresh injury concerns, with Timm Klose and Ben Godfrey (both knee) and Josip Drmic (hamstring) still unavailable.

After winning their first Premier League away match against Aston Villa in November 1992, Norwich are winless in their last seven top-flight visits to Villa Park. However, they did win 2-1 at the ground in the Championship last season.
