Owners of Tammy Abraham (£7.9m) in Fantasy Premier League may well be rewarded for their patience in Gameweek 15.

The Chelsea striker has been sold by more than 1.4 million managers over the last two Gameweeks.

He was transferred out by 981,000+ managers in Gameweek 14 after sustaining a hip injury against Valencia in the UEFA Champions League last Wednesday evening.

And a further 440,000 have moved him on ahead of Tuesday's 18:30 GMT deadline.

That has resulted in a huge drop in ownership, with Abraham now sitting in 31.2 per cent of squads.

'We'll give him every chance'

But Blues head coach Frank Lampard says that the forward may yet recover in time to face Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

"We are going to give him every possible chance to be fit," Lampard told the club's official website.

"There is still some pain in the area of the injury, we will make a judgement call tomorrow. It is painful for him so it's about the pain threshold and does it affect his movement, so I don’t want to commit today [on his availability]".

After Chelsea suffered a 1-0 home loss to West Ham United last Saturday, Lampard will be hoping the 22-year-old is fit enough to feature against Villa.

Abraham has 10 goals and two assists over his 12 Gameweek starts this season.

Vulnerable opponents

Villa, meanwhile, visit Stamford Bridge having conceded 104 shots in the penalty area away from home, a Premier League-leading figure.

The busy festive period means that Chelsea's Gameweek 16 match takes place only four days after the Villa encounter, when they visit Everton on Saturday.

Everton are one point and two places below Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Even if his minutes are managed over those two fixtures, Abraham's eye for goal can still prove decisive and reward FPL backers who have kept faith.
