2010: Javier Hernandez seals move to Manchester United

Although the deal to sign Javier Hernandez was agreed in April, he finally sealed his move to Manchester United from Chivas de Guadalajara after his work permit went through.

He spent six seasons at Old Trafford, scoring 37 Premier League goals, before spending another three seasons in the competition with West Ham United.

2014: Mauricio Pochettino was appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur appointed Mauricio Pochettino as their manager on a five-year deal, after he resigned from Southampton following 18 months in charge at St Mary’s Stadium.  

A fifth-placed finish followed in his first season, and then he went on to secure four top-four finishes in succession and guided Spurs to their first-ever UEFA Champions League final in 2018/19. 

The Argentinian parted company with the club in November 2019.
