Liverpool's run of 17 successive victories came to a halt at Old Trafford and they will aim to get back to winning ways immediately at the expense of a Tottenham Hotspur side yet to win on their travels in the league this season.

Team news

Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to be available for Liverpool after recovering from illness, while Andrew Robertson is fit after being substituted against Genk in midweek.

Joel Matip (knee) is a doubt, and Xherdan Shaqiri (calf) is still out.

Mauricio Pochettino has a full squad available apart from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who is continuing rehabilitation after dislocating his elbow in early October.

Did you know?

Liverpool have lost only one of their last 13 Premier League meetings with Spurs, winning eight and drawing four. The only defeat during that period was a 4-1 loss at Wembley in October 2017.

Spurs are looking for a first away win against a side starting the day top of the table in 23 matches, since they won their first such match, 2-0 at Blackburn Rovers, in November 1992.

Mohamed Salah enjoys facing Spurs, scoring six goals in his last eight starts against them across all competitions. Four goals have come for Liverpool, while he has also scored against Spurs for Basel and Fiorentina.

Harry Kane has been directly involved in seven goals in nine Premier League appearances against Liverpool, scoring five and assisting two, but failed to register a league goal against them last season.
