Chelsea head to Turf Moor with a fourth successive win in their sights while Burnley will be aiming to register a first-ever Premier League victory against the Blues on home soil.

Team news

Chris Wood is a doubt for Burnley due to a hamstring problem, but his strike partner Ashley Barnes is in contention after recovering from injury, and midfielder Jack Cork is also back in the frame.

Johann Gudmundsson (hamstring) and Danny Drinkwater (ankle) remain sidelined, and the latter would have been ineligible anyway against his parent club.

Chelsea will be without Ross Barkley (ankle), Andreas Christensen (hamstring), N'Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger (groin) along with long-term absentee Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles).

Did you know?

Burnley have lost four in a winless run of five Premier League home matches against Chelsea. The Clarets have conceded at least twice in each defeat.

Frank Lampard is looking to win four successive league matches for the first time in his managerial career. Chelsea last achieved this feat in September 2018 during Maurizio Sarri's opening five fixtures in charge.

Sean Dyche's men have picked up nine from a possible 12 home points in the league this season, keeping three clean sheets. Their three wins and one defeat has seen them register seven more points and an additional two clean sheets than their opening nine fixtures at Turf Moor in 2018/19.

Chelsea have won their last three Premier League away fixtures, scoring 3+ on each occasion. The Blues have never won four successive top-flight matches on the road whilst scoring three or more goals.
