Large numbers of Fantasy Premier League managers have turned to Mason Mount (£6.2m) ahead of Saturday's 11:30 BST deadline.

More than 473,000 have bought the Chelsea midfielder, who has provided two goals and 20 points in the opening three Gameweeks, making him the fourth highest-scoring midfielder in the game.

They will be breathing a sigh of relief after he was passed fit for the Blues' home encounter with Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

Mount has recovered from a slight knock sustained in Chelsea's 3-2 win over Norwich City last weekend.

And his underlying statistics suggest his popularity will only increase.

Fine fixtures

The 20-year-old's totals of 12 shots and seven shots on target both rank joint-top alongside Raheem Sterling (£12.3m) among FPL midfielders.

He has also created seven chances for Frank Lampard's side, thanks to his share of free-kicks and corners.

Chelsea’s schedule only adds to Mount's appeal.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), only one of his next nine opponents score more than three.

That can drive more investment Mount's way, marking him out as a major source of value for FPL midfields.
