Liverpool will start their defence of the UEFA Champions League against Napoli, Salzburg and Genk after the group stage draw for the 2019/20 season was made. 

After beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in an all-Premier League final in May, Liverpool were drawn in Group E this season.

The Reds also picked up more awards at the draw in Monaco.

Virgil van Dijk was named UEFA's Men's Player of the Year, while the Dutchman and Alisson were named the best defender and goalkeeper respectively of the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League.

Bayern test for Spurs

Spurs will look to go one better than last season but first must take on Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Crvena Zvezda in Group B.

Premier League champions Manchester City meet Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb and Atalanta in Group C, while Chelsea are in Group H, alongside Ajax, Valencia and Lille.
