2006: Arsenal 3-0 Liverpool

Arsenal kept in touch with the top two with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.

Mathieu Flamini gave Arsenal the lead from close range 41 minutes into a hard-fought first half. 

Arsenal came out the brighter and secured the points with second-half goals from Kolo Toure and William Gallas. 

The result left Arsenal in third on 21 points, 10 points behind leaders Manchester United. Liverpool were ninth on 17 points.

2007: Reading 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal went top of the Premier League with this accomplished victory at the Madejski Stadium. 

Mathieu Flamini converted Aliaksandr Hleb's pass just before half-time to make it 1-0, before Emmanuel Adebayor's fine finish made it 2-0 seven minutes after the break - Arsenal's 1,000th Premier League goal. 

Hleb rounded Marcus Hahnemann 3-0 and wrap up the points for Arsene Wenger's side with 12 minutes left.

Nicky Shorey, who hit the woodwork with a late free-kick, scored a consolation for Reading with a close-range finish.

The win sent Arsenal top of the table on 30 points on goals scored - 27 to second-placed Manchester United's 23. Reading were 12th with 13 points.
