Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has vowed to get Manchester United back in the top four and next season's UEFA Champions League after they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage, losing 4-0 on aggregate to Barcelona.
United were defeated 3-0 in Spain on Tuesday night and Solskjaer now says his side must immediately shift their focus back to the Premier League, starting with Sunday’s trip to face Everton at Goodison Park.
They have slipped to sixth place in the table, two points behind Arsenal in fourth, ahead of a period in which they face three top-half teams in eight days.
"We want to play these games again next year, so we've got a massive week coming up with Everton, [Manchester] City and Chelsea," the manager told the club's official website.
"Of course we're disappointed but there's no point dwelling on what could have been. Now we have to concentrate and focus on next week."
