The Spaniard is seeking to win the award for the second month in a row and the seventh time in total.

As in February, his Manchester City side boasted a 100 per cent record in March, overcoming AFC Bournemouth, Watford and Fulham.

They scored six goals across those matches while only conceding one, boosting their prospects of beating Liverpool to the title and retaining their crown.

Ralph Hasenhuttl

Southampton began the month with a narrow 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford and bounced back impressively.

They came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur at home before securing a valuable victory at relegation rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, which left them five points above the bottom three.

Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool secured 10 points from four matches, only failing to beat Everton after a goalless draw with their Merseyside rivals.

They went on to beat Burnley and Fulham before grabbing an invaluable late 2-1 win over Spurs at Anfield. Those three successive successes left Klopp's side at the top of the table at the end of March, as they hunt for their first PL title.

Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers' first match in charge of Leicester City ended in disappointment, with a stoppage-time defeat at Watford.

But he then oversaw the Foxes’ first three-match winning run of the season. Victories over Fulham and Burnley were followed by a 2-0 triumph over AFC Bournemouth, with Leicester keeping their first PL clean sheet in 11 matches and finishing the month in eighth place.

Marco Silva

The Portuguese's Everton side held title challengers Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park, becoming only the third side to shut out the Reds this season.

While that achievement was followed by a 3-2 defeat at Newcastle United, the Toffees responded well.

They beat top-four contenders Chelsea 2-0 before securing the same result at West Ham United, keeping a clean sheet for the third time in four matches and finishing the month in the top half of the table.
