After a strong 84-point return from the Gameweek 5 selection, we have turned to both Liverpool and Manchester City to provide the backbone of this week's XI.

Pep Guardiola's table-toppers look irresistible going forward, with the most goals scored (15) and more big chances created (15) in the Premier League.

Throw Sergio Aguero (£13.0m) into the mix and you have to have concerns for Francesco Guidolin's Swansea City, who host Pep's team on Saturday

Only Hull City have conceded more shots in the box than the Swans and only AFC Bournemouth have allowed more big chances.

It all adds up to a profitable return for Aguero, who takes our Gameweek 6 armband. It also explains Raheem Sterling's (£8.4m) selection in midfield.

Liverpool also pose a potent goal threat and, in Hull, have an opponent who will likely offer up opportunities.

Jurgen Klopp's side fired in 17 goal attempts in their other Anfield outing, against Leicester City.

Goals and points will potentially be shared across the midfield so we have opted for both Sadio Mane (£9.0m) and Roberto Firmino (£8.4m) in a bid to catch them.

That duo hit double-figures for FPL points in the 4-1 win over the Foxes.

Nathaniel Clyne (£5.5m) also gets the nod from the Reds as we back a first Liverpool clean sheet against the Tigers.

Clyne has created the most chances for team-mates (eight) among Premier League defenders so he promises returns at both ends.

Everton's Leighton Baines (£5.6m) and Tottenham Hotspur's Kyle Walker (£5.8m) complete our three-man defence.

Baines sits one behind Clyne for chances created and offers decent clean sheet prospects from a trip to AFC Bournemouth.

Mauricio Pochettino's defence has kept three clean sheets, conceding only twice in five outings.

Walker has claimed two assists and collected bonus points in every 90 minutes played and could profit again at Middlesbrough.

That defence sits in front of Sunderland's Jordan Pickford (£4.0m) in goal.

A clean sheet at home to Crystal Palace may well be beyond the 22-year-old, but saves can supplement his returns.

Pickford has produced two save points in each of his three starts so far, making 20 stops, the most by any goalkeeper over that spell.

Southampton's Nathan Redmond (£6.0m) earns a recall in midfield. Still used up front by Claude Puel, he's impressed but is without a goal since Gameweek 1.

Redmond's fortunes may turn against West Ham United, whose defence has shipped 11 goals and 10 big chances over the last three Gameweeks.

Up front, Romelu Lukaku (£9.3m) and Jermain Defoe (£7.2m) slot in alongside Aguero.

We are backing both to overcome knocks to start against AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace respectively.

Lukaku goes into the weekend with a goal-a-match record and faces a Cherries rearguard who have surrendered nine goals and 15 big chances, the most of Premier League sides.

Defoe's prospects are boosted considerably by Scott Dann's (£5.5m) absence for Palace through injury.

David Moyes' Black Cats are in dire need of three points and rely on Defoe as their cutting edge.

The FPL Gameweek 6 deadline is at 11.30am BST Saturday 24 September
