    MAN OF THE MATCH?

    Report

Dara O'Shea's own goal and a stoppage-time winner from Tomas Soucek secured a remarkable 2-1 turnaround victory for West Ham United at Burnley.

Jay Rodriguez had put the home side in front with a penalty early in the second half, but two late goals made it back-to-back wins for West Ham.

    How the match unfolded

David Moyes was forced into making one change to the side that beat Nottingham Forest 3-2, with Danny Ings handed his first Premier League start of the season at his former club in place of the injured Jarrod Bowen.

Early chances were at a premium at Turf Moor, with Johann Gudmundsson and Luca Koleosho forcing saves from Alphonse Areola, while Soucek’s header was dealt with by Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.

Burnley opened the scoring four minutes into the second half through Rodriguez's penalty, awarded for a foul by Mohammed Kudus on Koleosho.

West Ham responded well, with Lucas Paqueta firing a half-volley narrowly wide before the Hammers equalised with four minutes remaining.

Kudus got in down the right and his cross was attacked by substitute Divin Mubama before being inadvertently turned into his own net by O’Shea.

And West Ham completed the turnaround in the first minute of second-half stoppage time through Soucek, who netted from another Kudus cross.

It means West Ham stay ninth, with 20 points, four more than Chelsea a place below them.

Burnley, who are still seeking their first home win of the season, remain bottom, with four points, five points from safety after 17th-placed Luton Town beat Crystal Palace.
