WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Match summary

Carlo Ancelotti celebrated his return to the Premier League as Everton manager with a 1-0 win against Burnley at Goodison Park.

The Toffees had to be patient for their breakthrough, though, as their winner came in the 80th minute.

Seamus Coleman won possession and Djibril Sidibe crossed from the right for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to send a header in off the far post.

Burnley had been indebted to Nick Pope for keeping Everton at bay until then, with the goalkeeper saving from Mason Holgate inside the six-yard box and stopping Sidibe's low shot with his feet.

Burnley's best chances fell to Chris Wood, who headed over, and Robbie Brady, who also put a header across the face of goal.

A fourth match unbeaten for Everton moves them up to 13th place with 22 points, two points and a place below the Clarets.
