Alli doubled Spurs' advantage five minutes into the second half, after latching on to another searching Alderweireld pass.

Moussa Sissoko added a third in the 69th minute, volleying in at the far post from Son's cross.

AFC Bournemouth substitute Harry Wilson pulled two goals back for the Cherries, the first a stunning free-kick, before Jan Vertonghen produced a vital tackle to deny Callum Wilson an equaliser.
