    Match summary

Dele Alli's late strike earned Tottenham Hotspur a 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-table Watford.

Alli capitalised on a mistake from Hornets goalkeeper Ben Foster in the 86th minute to fire in an equaliser from close range to deny Watford their first win of the Premier League campaign.

Abdoulaye Doucoure put the visitors in front on six minutes when he turned in Daryl Janmaat's cross from the right.

Spurs introduced Son Heung-min in the second half and he struck the crossbar moments after coming on, with Foster getting a vital touch on the shot.

Alli's strike prevented Spurs from suffering consecutive defeats and Maurico Pochettino's side move up to seventh on 12 points.

Watford remain bottom on four points, three behind Norwich City.
