WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Match summary

Bernard's first-half goal handed Everton a 1-0 victory over Watford at Goodison Park.

Everton scored the only goal on 10 minutes, with Lucas Digne’s long pass finding Bernard, who cut inside from the left to beat Ben Foster with a low deflected shot.

Watford’s best chance of the first half came to Craig Dawson, but his header crashed against the crossbar.

Everton's Richarlison missed a great chance to make it 2-0 against his former side, but headed over.

Watford improved in the second half, with Troy Deeney forcing Jordan Pickford into a save.

Everton substitute Moise Kean threatened late on, but Watford's failure to score a first goal of the season ensured the Toffees' first win of the campaign.
