Junior Hoilett and Victor Camarasa struck to hand Cardiff City a 2-0 victory over West Ham United and end a three-match losing run.

Hoilett gave Cardiff a great start, sweeping home Josh Murphy’s right-wing cross on four minutes.

The Bluebirds extended their lead seven minutes into the second half. Murphy’s header found Victor Camarasa, who bundled the ball past Lukasz Fabianski.

West Ham responded and came closest on 71 minutes when Declan Rice’s low effort hit a post.

Despite the win, Cardiff remain 18th on 28 points, two points behind Burnley in 17th, having played a match more.

West Ham stay ninth on 39 points.
