MAN OF THE MATCH?

Match summary

Romelu Lukaku scored twice for the second match running as Manchester United came from behind to beat Southampton 3-2 and return to fourth.

Yan Valery gave Southampton a shock first-half lead with a spectacular long shot for his first senior goal.

But after the break Andreas Pereira curled in an equaliser before setting up Lukaku to put United ahead.

Southampton hit back through James Ward-Prowse’s 75th-minute free-kick.

But Lukaku struck the winner on 88 minutes and United could have had a fourth but Angus Gunn saved Paul Pogba's stoppage-time penalty.

United climb a point above Arsenal on 58.

Southampton remain 17th with 27 points, two from the bottom three.
