Match summary

Goals from Fernando Llorente and Dele Alli gave Tottenham Hotspur a 2-0 victory over Swansea City.

Llorente, in for Harry Kane who was benched, headed in a Christian Eriksen free-kick 12 minutes into his return to a wet and windy Liberty Stadium.

That combination almost proved fruitful again before half-time but Llorente could only turn the ball over.

Swansea turned up the pressure in the second half, with Spurs' Jan Vertonghen fortunate to see the ball hit him and then strike his own crossbar.

Alli secured the three points on 89 minutes, finishing off Kane's pass at the second attempt.

Spurs move up to fifth with the victory, while Swansea remain bottom, four points off safety.
