WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Match summary

Tottenham Hotspur climbed to second in the Premier League table despite being frustrated by Sunderland in a 0-0 stalemate at the Stadium of Light.

Although enjoying the majority of possession Spurs struggled to break down the Black Cats' defence, a rasping drive from Victor Wanyama the closest they came in the first half.

Fabio Borini struck straight at Michel Vorm, starting in place of the ill Hugo Lloris, in Sunderland's best opening, while Danny Rose hobbled off through injury.

Dele Alli's poked effort was deflected over the bar after the break but a point was enough to put Spurs above Arsenal on goal difference, as they lost to Watford. Sunderland are 19th.
