What happens if Aston Villa win the Europa League?   

Aston Villa’s UEFA Europa League victory ensured that they automatically qualify for the league phase of next season's UEFA Champions League regardless of their finishing position in the Premier League.   

Fifth place had already been guaranteed a European Performance Spot (EPS) in the Champions League as a reward for English clubs' collective progress in Europe this season.   

Aston Villa finished fourth in the Premier League. Their qualification for the UEFA Champions League through their league position is not transferred to another team, so the top five have qualified for the UEFA Champions League.   

Had Aston Villa won the UEFA Europa League and finish fifth in the Premier League, they would have qualify for the UEFA Champions League as Europa League winners and the sixth-placed side would have been given the EPS, with Europa League place otherwise awarded to the team finishing sixth surrendered to another European domestic league.

What happens if Crystal Palace win the Conference League?  

The winners of the UEFA Conference League are guaranteed a place in the UEFA Europa League league phase.   

As Crystal Palace did not qualify for the UEFA Europa League via the Premier League or the FA Cup, they would enter the UEFA Europa League league phase as an additional club.
