Please read this page carefully as it sets out the terms that apply to your use of the Premier League Companion, powered by Copilot function on the Premier League website and app, and any content it generates (“PL Companion”). By using PL Companion, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use, and you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please refrain from using the PL Companion function. These Terms of Use are specific to the PL Companion function on the Premier League website and apply in addition to the Premier League website terms of use.

USE OF PL COMPANION IF YOU ARE UNDER 18

If you are under 18, you may need your parent/guardian to help you with your use of PL Companion and with reading these Terms and Conditions. If anything is hard to understand, please ask your parent/guardian to explain.

HOW PL COMPANION WORKS

PL Companion is an AI-powered conversational service, provided by Microsoft. PL Companion will generate responses to prompts you submit and may also offer you responses directly in your ongoing conversations about Premier League football, statistics, fixtures, teams, players, and related content.

PL Companion tries to give you good answers, but it can make mistakes. Sometimes, PL Companion may give you wrong information.

Because of the way PL Companion works, the responses you get from PL Companion may not be unique to you. PL Companion may give the same or similar responses to us, or to other people. Other people may send similar prompts as yours, and they could get the same, similar, or different responses.

Reasonable skill and care has been used in producing the version of PL Companion that is integrated into the Premier League website and app, but it is only designed for the above purpose. No guarantee is given by us or Microsoft that PL Companion (including any statistics or information provided) is accurate, complete or up to date. We therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance by you placed on the content generated by PL Companion, or by anyone who may be informed of PL Companion's responses.

RESTRICTIONS OF USE

Your use of PL Companion must only be in lawful ways and in compliance with all applicable laws.

You must not use PL Companion to:

- harm yourself or others;

- harass, bully, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other people, or otherwise harm others;

- damage our ability to provide PL Companion to you and others;

- knowingly introducing viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or any other items that may damage the operation of computers or property;

- attempt to gain unauthorised access to PL Companion, the server(s) on which PL Companion is stored or any server, computer or database connected to PL Companion;

- infringe the rights or violate the privacy of others, including sharing their private information;

- create or share disinformation or content that will be used to impersonate, defraud, or deceive others;

- create or share inappropriate content or material; or

- break the law, or to help or encourage others to break the law.

If you see something wrong or inappropriate from PL Companion, please report it to info@premierleague.com.

Don't use tools or computer programmes (like bots or scrapers) to access PL Companion. You can only use PL Companion for your own personal use.

We may choose to limit or stop offering or supporting PL Companion or any feature within the PL Companion at any time and for any reason.

We will not be liable if for any reason PL Companion is unavailable at any time or for any period.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

PL Companion is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property and related rights ("Rights") which are owned by us or our licensors (including Microsoft). All such Rights are reserved. The trade marks, logos and brand names (if any) shown in PL Companion are owned by us or our licensors, suppliers, partners or member Clubs (as applicable). No rights are granted to use any of them without the prior written permission of the owner.

Except where otherwise indicated:

- You may copy and paste material generated by PL Companion as is reasonable for your own private and personal use; and

- PL Companion must not be used for commercial purposes, and you may not otherwise reproduce, re-utilise or redistribute content generated by it (including, by way of example, creating a database (electronic or otherwise) that includes material obtained from PL Companion), without our prior written approval.

Although these Terms of Use grant you permission to use PL Companion, we are not granting you any rights in the underlying technology, intellectual property, or data that makes up PL Companion.

OWNERSHIP OF YOUR CONTENT

We don't own your prompts and content you submit to PL Companion ("Your Content"), but we may use Your Content to operate PL Companion and improve the function as it appears. By using PL Companion, you grant us permission to use Your Content for this purpose. Our PL Companion privacy statement explains how we use Your Content and personal data.

By sharing Your Content with PL Companion, you are confirming that you have all rights to Your Content and that if we use Your Content, we won't be violating someone else's rights.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES AND WARNINGS

Please note the following important information about PL Companion:

- PL Companion may include both automated and manual (human) processing of data. You shouldn't share any information with PL Companion that you don't want us to review;

-  We plan to continue to develop and improve the PL Companion integration on the Premier League website and app, but we make no guarantees about how this integration will operate or that it will operate as intended;

- Sometimes, we may offer certain features or services as experimental features. These features and services may not always work as intended. We may add, modify, or remove features or services from PL Companion at any time for any reason;

- We may limit the speed or performance of PL Companion as we think necessary;

- When you request that the PL Companion take actions on your behalf, you are solely responsible for those actions and any results or consequences; and

- PL Companion is for entertainment and informational purposes only. It can make mistakes, and it may not work as intended. Don't rely on PL Companion for important advice. Use PL Companion at your own risk.

We do not make any warranty or representation of any kind about PL Companion. For example, we can't promise that any responses won't infringe someone else's rights (like their copyrights, trade marks, or rights of privacy) or defame them. You are solely responsible if you choose to publish or share PL Companion's responses publicly or with any other person.

If you decide to access linked websites you do so at your own risk and we encourage you to read the privacy statements applicable to each specific website.
