Please read this page carefully as it sets out the terms that apply to your use of the Premier League Companion, powered by Copilot function on the Premier League website and app, and any content it generates (“Copilot”). By using Copilot, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use, and you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please refrain from using the Copilot function. These Terms of Use are specific to the Copilot function on the Premier League website and apply in addition to the Premier League website terms of use.

USE OF COPILOT IF YOU ARE UNDER 18

If you are under 18, you may need your parent/guardian to help you with your use of Copilot and with reading these Terms and Conditions. If anything is hard to understand, please ask your parent/guardian to explain.

HOW COPILOT WORKS

Copilot is an AI-powered conversational service, provided by Microsoft. Copilot will generate responses to prompts you submit and may also offer you responses directly in your ongoing conversations about Premier League football, statistics, fixtures, teams, players, and related content.

Copilot tries to give you good answers, but it can make mistakes. Sometimes, Copilot may give you wrong information.

Because of the way Copilot works, the responses you get from Copilot may not be unique to you. Copilot may give the same or similar responses to us, or to other people. Other people may send similar prompts as yours, and they could get the same, similar, or different responses.

Reasonable skill and care has been used in producing the version of Copilot that is integrated into the Premier League website and app, but it is only designed for the above purpose. No guarantee is given by us or Microsoft that Copilot (including any statistics or information provided) is accurate, complete or up to date. We therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance by you placed on the content generated by Copilot, or by anyone who may be informed of Copilot's responses.

RESTRICTIONS OF USE

Your use of Copilot must only be in lawful ways and in compliance with all applicable laws.

You must not use Copilot to:

- harm yourself or others;

- harass, bully, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other people, or otherwise harm others;

- damage our ability to provide Copilot to you and others;

- knowingly introducing viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or any other items that may damage the operation of computers or property;

- attempt to gain unauthorised access to Copilot, the server(s) on which Copilot is stored or any server, computer or database connected to Copilot;

- infringe the rights or violate the privacy of others, including sharing their private information;

- create or share disinformation or content that will be used to impersonate, defraud, or deceive others;

- create or share inappropriate content or material; or

- break the law, or to help or encourage others to break the law.

If you see something wrong or inappropriate from Copilot, please report it to info@premierleague.com.

Don't use tools or computer programmes (like bots or scrapers) to access Copilot. You can only use Copilot for your own personal use.

We may choose to limit or stop offering or supporting Copilot or any feature within the Copilot at any time and for any reason.

We will not be liable if for any reason Copilot is unavailable at any time or for any period.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Copilot is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property and related rights ("Rights") which are owned by us or our licensors (including Microsoft). All such Rights are reserved. The trade marks, logos and brand names (if any) shown in Copilot are owned by us or our licensors, suppliers, partners or member Clubs (as applicable). No rights are granted to use any of them without the prior written permission of the owner.

Except where otherwise indicated:

- You may copy and paste material generated by Copilot as is reasonable for your own private and personal use; and

- Copilot must not be used for commercial purposes, and you may not otherwise reproduce, re-utilise or redistribute content generated by it (including, by way of example, creating a database (electronic or otherwise) that includes material obtained from Copilot), without our prior written approval.

Although these Terms of Use grant you permission to use Copilot, we are not granting you any rights in the underlying technology, intellectual property, or data that makes up Copilot.

OWNERSHIP OF YOUR CONTENT

We don't own your prompts and content you submit to Copilot ("Your Content"), but we may use Your Content to operate Copilot and improve the function as it appears. By using Copilot, you grant us permission to use Your Content for this purpose. Our Copilot privacy statement explains how we use Your Content and personal data.

By sharing Your Content with Copilot, you are confirming that you have all rights to Your Content and that if we use Your Content, we won't be violating someone else's rights.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES AND WARNINGS

Please note the following important information about Copilot:

- Copilot may include both automated and manual (human) processing of data. You shouldn't share any information with Copilot that you don't want us to review;

-  We plan to continue to develop and improve the Copilot integration on the Premier League website and app, but we make no guarantees about how this integration will operate or that it will operate as intended;

- Sometimes, we may offer certain features or services as experimental features. These features and services may not always work as intended. We may add, modify, or remove features or services from Copilot at any time for any reason;

- We may limit the speed or performance of Copilot as we think necessary;

- When you request that the Copilot take actions on your behalf, you are solely responsible for those actions and any results or consequences; and

- Copilot is for entertainment and informational purposes only. It can make mistakes, and it may not work as intended. Don't rely on Copilot for important advice. Use Copilot at your own risk.

We do not make any warranty or representation of any kind about Copilot. For example, we can't promise that any responses won't infringe someone else's rights (like their copyrights, trade marks, or rights of privacy) or defame them. You are solely responsible if you choose to publish or share Copilot's responses publicly or with any other person. 

PERSONAL DATA

Copilot may provide links to other websites and services operated by parties independent to us. We take reasonable precautions in selecting these however we do not endorse or take responsibility for the content or availability of these websites and cannot accept any liability for any material contained within them or for your use of them or any use of your personal data collected by their operators. If you decide to access linked websites you do so at your own risk and we encourage you to read the privacy statements applicable to each specific website.
