Lou Englefield on how the club have reached out to Canal Street Blues, its LGBT supporters club

This weekend the Premier League celebrates Rainbow Laces to support LGBT people within sport.

Lou Englefield is Campaign Director for Football v Homophobia, and the director of Pride Sports.

She is the “Mother Teresa” of the LGBT community in Manchester and works full-time across two charities to help tackle homophobia in sport.

Lou is a massive Manchester City fan, and part of the Canal Street Blues, one of the first recognised LGBT fan groups in the country.

Her work is about creating a great environment where everyone is welcome, and together with Man City, they’ve really made that happen, as she explains in the video above.
