Nico Gonzalez (Spurs 0-2 Newcastle)
Gonzalez bossed the midfield on his Newcastle United debut, dictating the tempo as Matthias Jaissle secured his first win in charge of the Magpies.

Gonzalez also made the most defensive line-breaking passes of any player in the match, with three, while showcasing his range with a series of excellent diagonal passes.
Erling Haaland (Crystal Palace 1-4 Man City)
The Manchester City striker needed just 17 minutes to open the scoring at Selhurst Park with a superb looping header. He also added Man City’s fourth goal with a powerful near-post finish to complete his brace.

Joao Pedro (Chelsea 4-3 Brighton)
Joao Pedro continued his explosive start to the campaign with another goal and assist.
The Brazilian took Jorrel Hato’s pass in stride and drilled the ball into the bottom-left corner, and his intelligent hold-up play then created an opening for Cole Palmer, with a clever lay-off allowing the England international to run on and produce a sensational solo finish. An unfortunate own goal for Joao Pedro made it an even more eventful match fo the striker.
Konstantinos Tzolakis (Coventry 0-1 Hull)
Hull City's goalkeeper Tzolakis made three crucial saves against fellow promoted side Coventry City, including clawing a Taiwo Awoniyi attempt away from the bottom corner, to secure another clean sheet as the Tigers continued their dream start to the campaign with back-to-back wins.
Tzolakis has become the first goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in a promoted side’s opening two games of a Premier League season since David Raya achieved the feat with Brentford in 2021/22.
