Eight players were nominated for the official Premier League Player of the Matchweek award, with Cole Palmer being crowned the winner.
Semi Ajayi (Hull 2-0 Man Utd)
Ajayi had a huge impact at both ends of the pitch as Hull City marked their Premier League return with a stunning 2-0 win over Manchester United.
He was commanding in defence, helping to nullify the threat of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, and he scored the opener after 17 minutes with his first Premier League goal since January 2021, when he netted for West Bromwich Albion at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Rayan Cherki (Man City 2-1 Bournemouth)
AFC Bournemouth were heading for victory at the Etihad Stadium - until Manchester City substitute Cherki took matters into his own hands.
Enzo Maresca's side were trailing 1-0 as the match entered the final five minutes, and France international Cherki took centre stage. First, he delivered a pinpoint corner for defender-turned-midfielder Marc Guehi to head in the equaliser. Then he provided a defence-splitting pass that freed Josko Gvardiol to equalise in stoppage time.
Julio Enciso (Ipswich 2-1 Sunderland)
The Paraguayan playmaker produced a sublime assist for Ipswich's first goal back in the Premier League, winning the ball in his own half before surging past Luke O'Nien and Dan Ballard and teeing up debutant Emersonn to score. Enciso was a big influence throughout, having a match-leading three shots and four dribbles.

Jack Hinshelwood (Brighton 4-0 Aston Villa)
Hinshelwood crowned an all-action midfield display with a quickfire brace as Brighton & Hove Albion went top of the early-season table after a thumping home win over Aston Villa.
Academy graduate Hinshelwood got his first on the half-hour mark, ghosting in behind Villa's defence to head in at close range. Just 79 seconds later, he had a second goal - and Brighton's fourth - with a composed finish past goalkeeper Marco Bizot.
Martin Odegaard (Arsenal 3-0 Coventry)
Arsenal's captain was heavily involved in their win, completing 93 per cent of his attempted passes, creating three chances and scoring the third goal. After finishing last season strongly and impressing for Norway at the FIFA World Cup, Odegaard looks set for a big season.
Cole Palmer (Fulham 2-3 Chelsea)
Chelsea's No 10 was back to his brilliant best in the Blues' thrilling five-goal victory over Fulham on Monday. Palmer created the opening goal for Joao Pedro after just 31 seconds and scored what proved to be the winning goal four minutes into the second half.
Mamadou Sangare (Brentford 3-0 Spurs)
Brentford's record signing made a dream Premier League debut, with the Mali international instrumental in a dominant display against Tottenham Hotspur.
Sangare was heavily involved in two of Brentford's goals, setting up Keane Lewis-Potter after a strong run into the box, before firing in a fierce snapshot in the build-up to Michael Kayode's goal. Sangare made six line-breaking passes and showed his qualities at the back too, with 13 defensive contributions.
Anton Stach (Nottingham Forest 0-1 Leeds)
Leeds' first top-flight win at the City Ground since 1971/72 owed much to the German midfielder's drive and determination. With the game at Nottingham Forest drifting towards a 0-0 draw, he curled in a free-kick that squeezed past goalkeeper Matz Sels and into the bottom-left corner.
