What’s new in 2026/27 Fantasy: Price Change Predictor

New tool will help FPL managers snap up in-demand players before they become more expensive

Isn’t it frustrating when you’re planning a transfer in Fantasy Premier League, only to find you can’t make your intended move because the player you wanted to buy has just gone up in price, or the player you wanted to sell has dropped?

Well, this season we’ve got a great new tool for you.

Pick your Fantasy team NOW

Players’ price changes reflect how much they are bought and sold overall in Fantasy, and our new Price Change Predictor will use official FPL data to track the transfer activity for every player, providing the best possible indication of who is likely to rise and fall EACH DAY at 00:00 UK time.

The data will always be a guide and doesn’t guarantee a price change. But if you make a habit of checking the Predictor every day during the season, you can stay ahead of the curve and steal a march on your mini-league rivals.

You won’t need to worry about price changes just yet, of course. When Fantasy launches for the 2026/27 season, all prices will be locked until the Gameweek 1 deadline on 21 August, at 18:30 BST.

What will the Price Change Predictor show?

After the Gameweek 1 deadline, there will be a page on the Fantasy website that shows the current progress of ALL players towards a price rise or price drop, as a percentage.

After a period of calibration, the tool will also include a “predicted progress” percentage to give managers further insight into potential changes, as shown below.

The data will be updated in the page every 15 minutes. Anything over 100 per cent will indicate that the player is expected to surpass the threshold for an increase or decrease when the next set of price changes happen at 00:00 UK time.

Phrases such as “Very Likely to Rise” and “Likely to Drop” – coloured green and red – will make it clear what the data is suggesting.

A player could be given a 105 per cent likelihood of having a price rise at 23:45, but if they are then sold by a number of managers in the final 15 minutes, they could drop back down below the threshold, and their price would stay the same.

The table can be sorted by players who are most likely to rise or fall, and filtered by your team, your “watchlist” or all players.

The Price Change Predictor will also be visible in other areas.

Each player’s Fantasy profile page will show a status message on the likelihood of a price change.

Also, on the two screens where you pick your team and make your transfers, you’ll be able to select a view that shows how each of your players is progressing towards a price change.
