Here's everything to look out for in Matchweek 36, including what Leeds, Forest and David Raya could achieve

With three rounds of fixtures remaining in a gripping 2025/26 Premier League season, there’s still plenty to be decided. And while the thrilling title race won’t be won in Matchweek 36, various team and individual objectives could be achieved.

Here’s all you need to know about the permutations and possibilities in the race for Europe, the battle to avoid the drop and more.

Leeds and Forest on verge of safety

Leeds United and Forest both moved a step closer to securing their Premier League status thanks to 3-1 wins in Matchweek 35, beating Burnley at home and Chelsea away respectively.

Victory for Leeds at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night will guarantee their top-flight status for next season regardless of results elsewhere – though they will be safe before a ball has been kicked in North London if West Ham United lose at home to Arsenal on Sunday. If West Ham draw with Arsenal, Leeds will be safe with a draw against Spurs.

Forest will also be safe if they win at home against Newcastle United on Sunday and West Ham fail to do so later in the day against Arsenal. A draw will be enough for Forest if Arsenal go on to beat the Hammers.

Forest’s goal difference (-2) is currently 17 better than West Ham’s (-19), so an improbable goal swing across the remaining matches would be needed for the Hammers to go above Vitor Pereira's side, even if they were able to close the six-point gap.

Crystal Palace – who have a game in hand on all the teams around them, against Man City on 13 May – can mathematically confirm a 14th straight Premier League campaign with victory at home to Everton on Sunday, though they need only equal West Ham’s result against Arsenal to guarantee their top-flight place next season.

Raya aiming to win Golden Glove outright

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya could clinch the Golden Glove award outright this weekend, having ensured at least a share of it by playing in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham last Saturday. That was his 17th clean sheet of the season, surpassing his previous best of 16 in 2023/24.

Raya is four clean sheets ahead of his nearest challenger, Man City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, so he will claim the award outright if he doesn’t concede in Arsenal's match at West Ham.

Goalkeepers with most clean sheets, PL 2025/26
Goalkeeper Clean sheets
David Raya (ARS) 17
Gianluigi Donnarumma (MCI) 13
Dean Henderson (CRY) 11
Jordan Pickford (EVE) 11

Arsenal's No 1 won the award outright in 2023/24 before sharing it with Forest’s Matz Sels last season. By guaranteeing that he will at least jointly win the 2025/26 Golden Glove, Raya has already become the first winner to land it in three consecutive seasons since Joe Hart between 2011 and 2013.
