Gibbs-White wins his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month award

Forest captain claims the prize after scoring four times and providing an assist last month

Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for April.

Forest's captain earns the award for the first time after producing an outstanding month where he scored four times and provided an assist in just three matches.

Gibbs-White's goal involvements in April included a stunning 15-minute hat-trick against Burnley in a 4-1 comeback victory as well as a goal and an assist in a sensational 5-0 success over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Those results, alongside a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, helped Forest move clear of the relegation zone. Vitor Pereira's side are now six points ahead of the bottom three with only three matches remaining.

Gibbs-White becomes just the second Forest player to win the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, following Chris Wood's success in October 2024.

Gibbs-White topped a eight-man shortlist that included Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos (West Ham United), Rayan Cherki and Nico O'Reilly (Manchester City), Pascal Gross (Brighton & Hove Albion), Noah Okafor (Leeds United) and Alex Scott (AFC Bournemouth).

He won after the public's votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.
