Burnley have been relegated from the Premier League after a 1-0 home defeat by Manchester City.
The Clarets are the second team confirmed to finish in the bottom three, after Wolverhampton Wanderers, who were relegated on Monday night following West Ham United's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
Wednesday's loss to Man City, a result that put Pep Guardiola's side top of the table, left Burnley 13 points adrift of 17th-placed West Ham United and with only four matches and 12 points to play for, they can no longer catch them.
Burnley return to the second tier, having been promoted from the Championship last season as runners-up, alongside champions Leeds United and play-off winners Sunderland.
