City secure a third consecutive title
The final saw three-time ePL champion Tekkz face off against both his former club in Man City, and also his former team-mate in Bonnano.
The two reigning champions went head-to-head in the second leg of the final, with the competition throwing up one of the most anticipated ePL match-ups in recent history.Â
The tie lived up to all expectations, with an absolute thriller bringing the ePremier League in Manchester to an exciting conclusion. The two sides were almost inseparable across both matches, leading to extra-time between Tekkz and Bonnano, with the latter holding his nerve to secure an 8-6 aggregate victory. Â
Speaking about his third ePL win, Bonanno said: “We work really hard every day, so we are really happy to have defended our title.”Â
Man City team-mate Jafonso added: “When I joined Manchester City I knew it was a club with a lot of trophies in this competition, and our main goal was to defend this title. I think we’ve done really well during these last few weeks and we deserve this win.”Â
