The Premier League Archive is the home for the most iconic and unforgettable moments in the competition's history.

Premier League fans now have access to the entire library of Premier League matches since the competition began in 1992. You can watch three, eight or 20-minute highlights of any match from 1992/93 to 2024/25, with full-match replays also available.

To celebrate the full launch of the Archive, football writer Sam Cunningham has picked out 10 of the best player performances in a single game.

Luis Suarez v Norwich (2013)

The Uruguayan didn’t only score four goals in a single game – he produced four masterpieces of stunning variation and quality.

An extraordinary 40-yard lob. A half-volley lashed in from a corner. A deft dance through defenders before sweeping the ball into the far corner. Capped off with an outrageous free-kick whipped into the left side of goal.

Mark Viduka v Liverpool (2000)

Two clever chips over the goalkeeper. A powering header into the top corner. A twisting turn and a shot off the far post. On an unstoppable afternoon, Viduka’s first two goals dragged Leeds United level, but they fell behind again until he struck twice more in two minutes to seal a memorable win.

Thierry Henry v Liverpool (2004)

Henry’s first goal – a velvet touch before sending the ball through Jerzy Dudek’s legs – drew Arsenal level. When Robert Pires equalised again, Henry shifted up a gear in a truly phenomenal performance.

Collecting the ball just inside Liverpool’s half, he ran through almost the entire team and slotted home, before completing his hat-trick 12 minutes from time to seal a 4-2 win. A classic performance in a classic match.

Sergio Aguero v Newcastle (2015)

Newcastle United simply couldn’t handle Aguero that afternoon. The Argentinian scored a record-equalling five goals with a variety of finishes demonstrating his array of attacking weapons.

Strikes from outside and inside the area, delicate dinks over the goalkeeper, pinpoint finishes into the corners, and perfectly timed runs to get on the end of passes.

Thiago Alcantara v Man Utd (2022)

A central-midfield masterclass, full of poise, control, through-balls and disguised passes.

Liverpool demolishing Manchester United 4-0 at Anfield is remembered less for the scorers and more for Thiago, who conducted Liverpool’s orchestra in one of the most complete midfield performances you will see.

Eden Hazard v Sunderland (2014)

A mesmerising, mazy display. Hazard completed seven dribbles in the first half alone, forcing Sunderland to double up on him – to little effect. The winger set up Frank Lampard and scored twice with two weaving runs through defenders before rifling the ball into the corner.

David De Gea v Arsenal (2017)

Some of them were routine, others were outstanding, as De Gea produced a record-equalling 14 saves to preserve Man Utd's win at Emirates Stadium.

A double save to deny Alexandre Lacazette’s low shot and Alexis Sanchez’s close-range rebound was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the goalkeeper's performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo v Newcastle (2008)

Ronaldo’s first Man Utd hat-trick arrived in a 6-0 dismantling of Newcastle. The goals showcased the full breadth of his game: free kick invention, uncatchable speed to run in behind, nimble feet and clinical finishing.

Gareth Bale v West Ham (2013)

Bale had put Tottenham Hotspur ahead with a typically precise effort from outside the area. West Ham United then went 2-1 in front, before Bale played a part in his side's equaliser with a deep free-kick that caused chaos inside the penalty area.

What he did to win the game was out of this world: carrying the ball from inside his own half, he received it back from Tom Carroll and arrowed it into the top corner from 30 yards.

Harry Kane v Man City (2022)

With the game tied, Spurs had barely threatened until Kane timed a late run into the penalty area to reach Son Heung-min’s cross before applying a deft finish.

When Riyad Mahrez equalised for Manchester City from a penalty in the second minute of stoppage time a draw felt inevitable – only for Kane to rise and head in the winner three minutes later.
