Manchester City and Liverpool are backed at both ends of the pitch in the best team for Gameweek 30 in Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday’s 13:30 GMT deadline.

Man City pair Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m) and Antoine Semenyo (£8.3m) are picked for their visit to West Ham United on Saturday night thanks to their new advanced roles in Pep Guardiola’s 4-2-2-2 formation.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk (£6.2m) and Hugo Ekitike (£9.1m) have a very favourable home encounter with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Bruno Fernandes (£10.1m) is handed the armband, with Joao Pedro (£7.7m) named as vice-captain.

Melker Ellborg (Sunderland) £4.0m

Sunderland’s back-up goalkeeper seized his opportunity last time out due to an injury to their No 1 Robin Roefs (£4.8m), keeping a clean sheet and earning 10 points against Leeds United. With Roefs still unavailable, Ellborg looks set to retain his starting role at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £7.2m

The Arsenal star's multiple routes to points have been very much in evidence ahead of a home match against Everton. Gabriel has amassed 20 points over the last two Gameweeks, combining an assist with a clean sheet, four defensive contribution points and six bonus points.

Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) £6.2m

Liverpool’s Dutchman welcomes Spurs in his best form of 2025/26 Fantasy. Van Dijk has scored twice and supplied an assist across the last four Gameweeks, also earning two clean sheets to total 36 points.

Nico O’Reilly (Man City) £5.1m

Listed as a defender in Fantasy, O’Reilly has thrived in a recent central midfield role, scoring three goals and earning two clean sheets to collect 36 points over his last three appearances. Having missed out against Nottingham Forest due to a knock last time out, he can be found in just over nine per cent of squads for the trip to West Ham.

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) £10.1m

The Portuguese’s record for huge hauls at Old Trafford earns him the captaincy for Manchester United's match against Aston Villa. Fernandes has produced 10+ points in seven of his 12 home appearances, delivering a double-figure score in all four of his home appearances under Michael Carrick.

Antoine Semenyo (Man City) £8.3m

The Ghanaian has played as a forward in Man City’s last two matches and scored on both occasions. Semenyo has blanked just twice in eight outings since moving from AFC Bournemouth and his extra points as a midfielder for goals and clean sheets places him among the top captain picks.

Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace) £6.3m

A home match against Leeds gives the Crystal Palace star the chance to continue his improving output in Fantasy. Sarr has scored four of his seven goals this season across the last six Gameweeks, including two goals and his season-high haul of 15 points against Spurs last time out. As evidenced by his converted spot-kick in that 3-1 win, the Senegalese also looks to be on penalty duties in the absence of Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.5m).

Marcus Tavernier (AFC Bournemouth) £5.3m

Bournemouth’s midfielder looks a great budget option away to Burnley. Since returning from injury over the last two Gameweeks, Tavernier’s nine shots and eight shots in the box both rank joint-top with Joao Pedro among all players. Similarly to Sarr, he is also expected to be on penalty duties.

Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool) £9.1m

The Frenchman has frustrated his owners in Fantasy with a run of six blanks over his last eight appearances. Ekitike has, nonetheless, been far more likely to deliver a big haul at Anfield, with four of his five double-figure scores this season coming in home matches. Spurs’ defensive frailties certainly look very encouraging for Ekitike, with the north London side conceding at least twice in each of their last nine league contests.

Joao Pedro (Chelsea) £7.7m

Managers have made the Chelsea star their priority pick ahead of a home encounter with Newcastle United. Joao Pedro is the top-scoring player in Fantasy since Liam Rosenior was appointed head coach in Gameweek 22, scoring eight goals and supplying six assists to collect 76 points over those eight matches.

Igor Thiago (Brentford) £7.2m

A home meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers gives the Brentford forward the chance to add to his total of 18 goals this season. Thiago’s visitors have been poor in defence on their travels in particular, with just a single clean sheet in 14 road trips.
