We highlight 15 players who have made a major impact for their new club this season

Football writer Ben Bloom takes a look back at the Premier League’s summer and January signings and picks out the best 15 performers this season.

We want YOU to tell us which signing has performed best in the campaign to date.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds United)

Five years after he last reached double figures in a Premier League season – for his former club Everton – Calvert-Lewin is back in the goals again at Leeds, with no other English player scoring more in the top flight than his 10 this campaign.

Watch: Calvert-Lewin's run of SEVEN GOALS in six matches
Rayan Cherki (Manchester City)

Signed from Lyon last summer, Cherki made an instant impact with a goal on his Premier League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The winger has since provided eight assists in the league – only Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has more – despite starting just 14 games.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Everton)

Having struggled for game time at Chelsea, central midfielder Dewsbury-Hall has been a man transformed for Everton this season, providing six Premier League goals and five assists in his new role as his team’s talismanic No 10.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (Manchester City)

A late signing from Paris Saint-Germain on Transfer Deadline Day last summer, Donnarumma has been ever present in the Premier League since keeping a clean sheet against local rivals Man Utd on debut. His 11 clean sheets is second only to Arsenal’s David Raya.

Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool)

There have been a few dips in form since joining Liverpool from Eintracht Frankfurt, but Ekitike’s 11 Premier League goals – including two in his first two matches – puts him fifth in this season’s standings. He also ranks second in 2026 for touches inside the opposition’s box.

Marc Guehi (Manchester City)

After starring for Crystal Palace through the first half of the season, centre-back Guehi has excelled since moving to Man City in January, starting every Premier League game. Man City had not won any of their previous four league matches before he signed; they are undefeated in seven since.

Watch: The best of Guehi's debut
Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal)

Things have not always been plain sailing as Gyokeres adapts to life at Arsenal after leaving Sporting last summer, but the Swedish striker’s 10 Premier League goals have helped his side top the table. He has scored eight across all competitions in 2026, including a memorable double in victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Watch: ALL of Gyokeres' goals so far this season
Caoimhin Kelleher (Brentford)

Kelleher has already made more Premier League appearances at Brentford than he did in six seasons with Liverpool, keeping seven clean sheets and helping his side exceed most pre-season predictions. He is also the only goalkeeper to save multiple penalties in the Premier League this season, with three.

Watch: Kelleher's performance in Brentford's win at Aston Villa
Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United)

Since joining from Brentford last summer, Mbeumo has shown a propensity for rising to the big occasion, scoring in league victories over Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool. He has also shown versatility across various attacking positions and won October’s EA SPORTS Player of the Month.

Watch: How Mbeumo won October's Player of the Month award
Joao Pedro (Chelsea)

Brought in from Brighton & Hove Albion last summer, Joao Pedro’s 14 goals and five assists makes him one of only two players (alongside Erling Haaland) to have scored 10+ times and provided 5+ assists in the Premier League this season. Eight of those goals have come in his last eight appearances under Liam Rosenior.

Robin Roefs (Sunderland)

Roefs was largely unknown outside of his native Netherlands until joining Sunderland from NEC Nijmegen. He has been a revelation for the promoted side, keeping eight clean sheets and achieving the league’s second-highest save percentage (71.2 per cent) among goalkeepers to make 65+ saves.

Watch: Roefs' SIX saves against Nottingham Forest
Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City)

If anyone thought Semenyo’s output might drop upon leaving AFC Bournemouth for Man City in January, they were mistaken. To his 10 Bournemouth goals this season, he has already added five in just eight Premier League games for City, placing him third in the overall 2025/26 goalscorer standings.

Watch: Semenyo's goal and assist v Fulham
Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United)

He did not always flourish under Ruben Amorim after joining from RB Leipzig, but Sesko has sprung to life in the Michael Carrick era. His goalscoring prowess off the bench forced his way back into the starting XI, and only two players have more Premier League goals in 2026 than his six.

Watch: EVERY Sesko goal in 2026 so far
Granit Xhaka (Sunderland)

Few players have been as instrumental to their team as combative central midfielder Xhaka, brought from Bayer Leverkusen to captain promoted Sunderland. In his 23 Premier League starts, Sunderland have lost just five times; in the six games he has not started, they have lost four.

Watch: Some of Xhaka's best moments so far this season
Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal)

If Arsenal go on to win the Premier League title, many people will point to defensive midfielder Zubimendi as the crucial piece of the puzzle that had been missing in recent seasons. His 2,530 Premier League minutes played this season is the third-highest among midfielders.
