Shearer's Team of the Week: 'Mbeumo has been brilliant since AFCON'

Premier League's record goalscorer names Man Utd forward in his best XI of Matchweek 23

Bryan Mbeumo's second goal in as many games since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has earned him a place in Alan Shearer's Team of the Week.

The Premier League's record goalscorer was impressed by Mbeumo's equaliser as Manchester United went on to beat Arsenal 3-2 and continue their winning start under Michael Carrick, building on the previous weekend's victory over Manchester City.

Man Utd defender Harry Maguire and Carrick, as the manager, join Mbeumo in Shearer's line-up for the second consecutive week. The team also features three representatives from West Ham United, following their 3-1 success against Sunderland, two players from Aston Villa and one apiece from Burnley, Chelsea, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.

Martin Dubravka (Burnley)
"Made several impressive saves in Burnley's 2-2 draw with Spurs."

Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)
"Solid. More than played his part in Forest's clean sheet at Brentford."

Harry Maguire (Man Utd)
"Again, he really stood up to the challenge against a top-two side."

Marc Guehi (Manchester City)
"An impressive debut against Wolves as Man City kept a clean sheet."

"Was a step ahead of Newcastle and scored a superb goal."

Mateus Fernandes (West Ham United)
"His work rate against Sunderland was huge, and he scored a great goal too."
