What happens when you have four players from one club in your FPL squad?

The Scout explains what you need to do following Antoine Semenyo's move from Bournemouth to Man City

The Scout explains what happens when you have four players from one club in your Fantasy Premier League squad after a player moves between two Premier League clubs during the January transfer window.

With the second top-scoring FPL midfielder Antoine Semenyo (£7.6m) joining Manchester City from AFC Bournemouth, many Fantasy managers may now own FOUR players from Pep Guardiola's side.

Are you one of those managers?

If you are, your next transfer out HAS to be a Man City player, because you CANNOT own four players from the same club.

So, if you now own four Man City players including Semenyo, who began the campaign at Bournemouth, you will have to sell one of them when you make your next transfer.

You could instead choose to keep your four Man City players for the rest of the season, but you would not be able to make another transfer.

Should Semenyo's FPL owners keep him?

Semenyo, owned by just under 44 per cent of managers, is the second most-selected player in Fantasy, due to his superb form so far this season. The Ghana international has racked up 10 goals and three assists in 20 starts.

But the likes of Erling Haaland (£15.1m), Phil Foden (£8.7m) and Nico O'Reilly (£5.3m) are also well-owned and have impressed in 2025/26.

Semenyo's FPL owners will now be forced to reassess their strategy. With Haaland, Foden and O'Reilly in form, alongside Rayan Cherki (£6.8m), who appears to be finding his feet on the right wing - Semenyo may be forced to be patient.

Morgan Rogers (£7.6m) is one potential replacement for Semenyo. Aston Villa have a very favourable schedule, not facing a current top-four team until Gameweek 37.
