Newcastle United and Arsenal supply a combined five of the best XI for Gameweek 21 in Fantasy Premier League ahead of Tuesday’s 18:30 GMT deadline.

Newcastle trio Nick Pope (£5.1m), Bruno Guimaraes (£7.1m) and Harvey Barnes (£6.1m) are at home to Leeds United on Wednesday evening.

In the final match of Gameweek 21 on Thursday evening, Arsenal’s Gabriel (£6.6m) and Bukayo Saka (£10.2m) welcome Liverpool to Emirates Stadium.

Erling Haaland (£15.1m) retains the armband, with the in-form Ollie Watkins (£8.7m) named as vice-captain.

Nick Pope (Newcastle) £5.1m

After a recent spell on the sidelines through injury, Pope has returned to reclaim a starting role ahead of Aaron Ramsdale (£4.8m). Pope has averaged 4.5 points per match (ppm) this season, second only to the 4.7ppm of Sunderland’s Robin Roefs (£4.9m) among all goalkeepers in Fantasy.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £6.6m

Arsenal’s centre-back has scored in both his starts since returning from injury to return to the top of the defender standings on 106 points. His huge potential at both ends of the pitch has made Gabriel the top transfer target ahead of Tuesday’s 18:30 GMT deadline, with over 461,000 managers bringing him.

Michael Keane (Everton) £4.8m

A visit from Wolverhampton Wanderers gives Everton’s centre-back the chance to extend his fine record at Hill Dickinson Stadium. In home matches this season, Keane is the firth top-scoring player across all positions, earning 60 points thanks to two goals, four clean sheets and 12 defensive contribution points.

Marcos Senesi (AFC Bournemouth) £4.8m

AFC Bournemouth's centre-back has amassed a league-high 30 points from his defensive contributions. In home matches, the Cherries have conceded only eight big chances - situations where a player is expected to score - which is fewer than any other side. Their visitors Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, have scored just three goals across their last five matches, suggesting a clean sheet could also be on the cards for Senesi.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £10.2m

Despite only appearaing off the bench against Bournemouth at the weekend, Saka still found time to supply his seventh assist of the season and extend his excellent run of attacking returns. The Arsenal star has now scored or assisted in eight of the last 10 Gameweeks and looks an assured starter against Liverpool after his limited minutes on Saturday evening.

Matheus Cunha (Man Utd) £8.2m

Manchester United's Brazilian visits Burnley in his most consistent form of the season. Cunha has blanked only twice over the last six Gameweeks, scoring three goals and supplying an assist to collect 35 points.

Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) £7.1m

Newcastle’s Brazilian is second only to Haaland for points in home matches this season, producing 73 of them across his 10 appearances. Guimaraes’ 10-point haul at home to Crystal Palace at the weekend was his sixth double-figure score of the season, suggesting he could even be one to consider for the captaincy.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle) £6.1m

After being rested against Palace on Sunday, the winger is expected to return to Newcastle’s starting line-up against Leeds. Barnes’ six shots in the box and three big chances both place joint-top for the Magpies across the last four Gameweeks.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £15.1m

A home match against Brighton & Hove Albion gives Manchester City's Norwegian the chance to atone for a run of three successive blanks. Over the last four Gameweeks, Brighton have conceded a league-high 44 shots in the box, with just eight shots conceded outside the box. That indicates the pressure will be on the Seagulls for the majority of their match and should afford Haaland plenty of opportunities to end his drought.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £8.7m

After a slow start to the campaign, Aston Villa’s forward finally looks back to his best for the visit to Crystal Palace. Watkins is the third top-scoring player in Fantasy over the last seven Gameweeks, with his six goals and two assists earning him 49 points -  just two behind Haaland’s 51 at the summit.

Igor Thiago (Brentford) £6.9m

Brentford’s Brazilian is the most-bought forward in the Gameweek, earning 340,000+ new owners after he ended his six-match goal drought with a hat-trick against Everton at the weekend. Thiago’s monster 17-point haul took him 20 points clear of third-placed Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) in the forward standings ahead of the Bees’ home encounter with Sunderland. At a cost of just £6.9m, he can continue to offer great value up front, with a home match against Nottingham Forest also to come over the next three Gameweeks.
