Iraola: Semenyo has not played his last game for Bournemouth

Cherries boss expects winger to face Arsenal on 3 January despite links with Man City

AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola says Antoine Semenyo has "definitely not" played his last match for the club amid media reports that the winger is close to joining Manchester City.

The January transfer window opens on Thursday and Semenyo was serenaded by the away fans at Stamford Bridge after Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea, in which he helped to create a goal with a long throw.

However, Iraola expects the Ghanaian winger to play at least once more for the Cherries, with their next match coming at home against Arsenal on Saturday 3 January.

"He is a massive player for us and he will still be with us," said Iraola. "It is not the last game he has played for us, definitely not."
