Gary Hoffman and Daniel Levy have both been recognised in the King’s New Year Honours list, underscoring the growing recognition of football’s impact beyond the pitch.

Gary, former Premier League chair and current chairman of Monzo, has been made a CBE for his outstanding contributions to the economy and sport. He played a pivotal role in stabilising Northern Rock during the 2008 financial crisis and, as Premier League chair from 2020 to 2022, provided strong leadership through the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Daniel, who chaired Tottenham Hotspur for over two decades, has also been awarded a CBE for his services to charity and the Tottenham community. During his tenure, he oversaw a remarkable transformation at Spurs, including the development of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a major regeneration project in north London, with a strong focus on community engagement.

Everyone at the Premier League would like to congratulate both Gary and Daniel on their appointments.
