Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool 2-0 Brighton)

Ekitike made it successive Premier League matches in which he has scored twice, with this brace following on from his goals against Leeds United in a 3-3 draw in Matchweek 15.

Malo Gusto (Chelsea 2-0 Everton)

Gusto produced a fantastic individual display for Chelsea to help them end a three-match winless run, beating Everton 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

While the Blues’ No 27 was named at right-back, he spent much of the match moving into the centre of midfield to great effect, and no Chelsea player made more than his 17 passes into the final third, with one of those creating Cole Palmer’s opener.

Gusto then got on the scoresheet himself for the second time this season at home to double Chelsea’s lead just before the break.

Erling Haaland (Crystal Palace 0-3 Man City)

The Man City striker scored his 16th and 17th Premier League goals of the season as Man City beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at Selhurst Park to keep the pressure on leaders Arsenal.

Haaland’s first goal of the match came with his head before he added his second from the penalty spot to make it a grand total of 36 goals for club and country already in 2025/26.

Morgan Rogers (West Ham 2-3 Aston Villa)

Heading into the break 2-1 down at London Stadium, Villa's eight-match winning run in all competitions looked under threat.

However, Rogers came to the rescue, equalising five minutes after the break before netting a stunning winner from 25 yards to complete Villa’s turnaround and keep them third.

Rogers also completed more than 90 per cent of his 22 passes in the final third - the joint-highest ratio among Villa players.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal 2-1 Wolves)

Arsenal left it very late to secure a vital win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Saka was at the heart of their victory, driving his side forward at every opportunity as they maintained their lead at the top of the table.

For Arsenal’s first goal, Saka's corner struck a post and then bounced in off Sam Johnstone, and it was the Gunners No 7 who saw his cross turned into his own net by Yerson Mosquera.

Ibrahim Sangare (Nottingham Forest 3-0 Spurs)

In one of his best displays for Forest, Sangare stole the show against Spurs and will be sorely missed as he departs for the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.

He set the tone early when his header smacked against a post, before he created a goal in either half for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Sangare then capped off a magnificent midfield performance with a wonderful first-time effort from distance.
