Matchweek 14 of the 2025/26 Premier League season featured some outstanding individual performances. We picked out eight of the best and invited you to vote for your Premier League Player of the Matchweek.

You had until 17:00 GMT today, Friday 5 December, to cast your vote. The result will be announced later today.

Samuel Chukwueze (Fulham 4-5 Man City)

The on-loan AC Milan winger caused Pep Guardiola's side all kinds of problems, using his flair and skill in the final third to test Manchester City's defence.

His quickfire double set up a fantastic finale at Craven Cottage as Fulham came within a whisker of earning a sensational draw in a nine-goal thriller.

Phil Foden (Fulham 4-5 Man City)

A nominee in Matchweek 13 for his heroics against Leeds United, Foden starred for Man City once again, this time netting twice in their scintillating victory at Fulham.

It means the England international has now scored four goals in a week with back-to-back braces. The best of his two strikes at Craven Cottage was a stunning left-footed shot that found the top corner just before half-time.

Gabriel Gudmundsson (Leeds 3-1 Chelsea)

The Swedish international had a huge influence, helping Leeds gain control in key moments against title-chasing Chelsea.

Gudmundsson was the standout defender on the night, winning more duels (13) than any other player. He also made 55 touches, completed 12 accurate passes, and proved a commanding and constant presence in defence.

Erling Haaland (Fulham 4-5 Man City)

Haaland joined the 100 Club and did so faster than any other player in Premier League history.

The Norwegian produced a typically clinical finish against Fulham to reach his century in just 111 matches.

Haaland's historic strike continued his remarkable form in 2025/26, taking his tally to 15 goals in 14 Premier League matches, making him the clear leader in the race for the Coca-Cola Golden Boot.

Reinildo Mandava (Liverpool 1-1 Sunderland)

The first player to represent Mozambique in the Premier League, Mandava produced virtually a flawless defensive display as Sunderland's impressive form continued.

Mandava showed his versatility both going forward with pace and purpose down the left flank, and in defence, where his composure and intelligent reading of the game frustrated the defending champions.

Mikel Merino (Arsenal 2-0 Brentford)

"He was immense again today," said Mikel Arteta after Merino’s brilliant display against Brentford, in which he scored the opener and assisted Arsenal’s second goal in a 2-0 win.

It followed on from Merino's equaliser, another header, at Chelsea last weekend. His total of eight headed goals since the start of last season is the most by any Premier League player in all competitions.

Cristian Romero (Newcastle 2-2 Spurs)

It was a night of firsts for Tottenham Hotspur captain Romero, whose overhead kick to equalise in stoppage time hauled his side from the brink of defeat to earn a valuable away point at St James' Park.

Romero netted his first Premier League goals since August 2024, when he scored in a 4-0 victory against Everton, and also his first away from home since a 5-2 win at Burnley in September 2023. It was also the first occasion he had scored more than once in a match, in what was his 199th appearance in Europe's big-five leagues.

Ollie Watkins (Brighton 3-4 Aston Villa)

It has been a difficult season for Watkins, but he looked back to his best against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday.

The striker ended an 11-match goal drought with a first-half brace as Villa came back from 2-0 down to secure a 4-3 win and inflict Brighton’s first home defeat of the campaign.
